Great article. Shouldn't there be min in d(x) instead of max? Let's say you picked a sample and got it labelled and added it into training set. For the next near sample, the max distance between the sample and training samples can be of similar scale. Thus taking max will not ensure diversity. On the other hand, if you pick min, the d(x) for the next sample will be much smaller. Thoughts?
